Getting guests to scan it
Put it where people sit.
One sign per table gets scanned, because it is in front of someone with nothing to do between courses. One sign by the door gets seen by everyone and used by almost nobody. If you print only a few, put them on the tables and by the guest book.
Keep the code at least two inches wide.
A phone reads a two inch code from across a table without anyone getting up. These signs print the code at two inches or more on 5 x 7 paper. Shrink the sign to 4 x 6 and the code drops under two inches, and people have to lean in.
Say what to do, in one line.
"Scan for photos" tells people what the code is and nothing about what happens next. The line under the code is for that. "Open your camera, point it at the code, and tap the link" is enough. Add what you want most, like "especially the dancing", and you get more of it.
Scan the printed sign with a phone that is not yours before you print the rest. If it takes more than a couple of seconds to read, print it bigger.

Before you print anything
What link do I put in the code?
If you have a Team Capture event pass, paste your guest link. It is ready in the dashboard as soon as you pay. Otherwise paste the link to any shared album your guests can open. Whatever you paste, scan the printed sign with a phone once before the wedding, so you know it lands where you meant.
Is it free, and do you keep our names or link?
It is free, with no account and no watermark. The sign is drawn in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to us or stored anywhere. Close the page and it is gone, so download the PNG before you do.
What size does it print at?
The PNG is 1500 by 2100 pixels, which is 5 by 7 inches at 300 dpi, the size of a table card. The Print button puts one sign on a page. Use 5 x 7 paper if your printer takes it, or letter paper and cut it out. Either way print at actual size, not fit to page. Glossy paper reflects the lights and can make the code harder to read, so use matte cardstock.
Does the QR code expire?
The code is the link drawn as squares, so it works for as long as the link does. A Team Capture guest link takes uploads for three months from the first photo, and the gallery stays viewable and downloadable for 12 months from that day. For other albums, check the service you use.
